This is shot of the entrance to the Great Synagogue of Rome. You need to view the larger version (click on picture above) for the full effect. On the top arch is a quote from Deuteronomy 28:6 – “Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out”. Framed behind the bars, it seemed ironic to me.
Short trip to Rome, managed to find some time for a few shots.
Interesting how this time the shot has the reflection in the water, last time due to the slight wind the reflection did not show up.
I had a quick trip to Maidenhead, UK. I was glad I read up on the history of Maidenhead before hand, I knew what I wanted to take a picture of.
