Stockholm + Zürich Wallpaper

My current wallpaper (1024×768). I love the juxtaposition of these pictures.

Update: Avi suggested I annotate my posts, so:

There was two interesting things about these photos:

  1. I did not need to align these photos vertically when joining them for the above wallpaper. I guess I visually place my shots of these types the same, though in this case they are separated in the physical world by over 900 miles.
  2. There is a formula to what I consider a nicely composed photo of this type. It consists of a dynamic sky with visually interesting cloud formations, a structure / building ideally meaningful, and water with the reflection of the sky all taken during the sunset or sunrise.

It was a bit tricky getting the right lighting as sunrise is 8:00 am and sunset is 3:00 pm and the sun never rises over the horizon – reaching a height of 9.5° and a direction span of only 70° (compare Stockholm to Jerusalem‘s 37° and 120°)
